This original Ducal solid pine sideboard, consisting of two drawers and two cupboard doors, has been revoted and updated. 
Ducal are a British-made brand from the mid 1900's who made quality pine furniture using timber from forests that practiced strict environmental management.
This piece is beautifully made and was cleaned, sanded back and any wear and tear repaired.  Two coats of premium quality paint, a DH Slate Green by Dulux Heritage, was applied to the body of the piece. To the top of the unit, this was sanded smooth to touch, with all traces of wear and tear removed, and finished in an eggshell paint wash, helping to retain the grain of the wood and then a Browning wax applied.
New wooden knobs were added and finished in the same way as the top and the original metalword was finished with a brass gilding wax and rubbed down to give them a vintage finish.
The piece is also mounted on caster wheels, which were originally fitted, allowing the piece to be easily moved around if needed.
